Drennan is a coarse and match fishing specialist that develops all its tackle on UK soil. This helps Drennan International keep the cost of its products down whilst retaining its high-quality design, meaning you get great value for money.
A feeder rod becomes incredibly important to man commercial carping sessions, having that extra rod on that draws in the fish and keep the match exciting. The Drennan Vertex 11ft Method Feeder rod boasts a nice through action which is great for playing fish and for avoiding hook pulls.
After Drennan spent 15 years on the Vertex range, the older Series 7 rods have been replaced with a feeder that gives anglers an advantage of improved rod materials and manufacturing techniques. Made from high modulus carbon blank, the 11ft rod offers accurate casting of a range of ground bait and method feeders.
The Vertex rod is ideal for distance casting with all sizes of feeders which can be customed with the two options of tips for the rod. There is the 3oz Glass Tip and more flexible 4oz Carbon Tip that both come with the method feeder rod. This made it ideal for commercial fisheries as it is able to absorb lunges from big carp, thanks to that forgiving action the blanks and tips provide.
Drennan’s forgiving action of the rod also reduces hook pulls to an absolute minimum and is ideally paired with reel lines of 5lb to 8lb breaking strains. You can easily attach the reel with the screw-down reel seat and be confident with casts with the strong SiC guides throughout the rod.
These Drennan feeder rods also feature a high-grade cork handle with EVA casting grip, meaning both great grip and insulation for your hands. To keep organised and safe in storage, the rod sports a hook keeper ring and is nicely finished with the Vertex branding.
